The Arabian Foal Festival is not Recognized by AHA or USEF
All Clipping – Use of a “10” Blade Only
Whiskers and Eyelashes are to Remain Untouched
Hair Outside of the Ear may be clipped – Hair deep Inside the Ear to Remain Untouched
Carrots, Grass or Grain are Encouraged in the Ring to capture yours Horses Attention
No Whips
No Chains – Captive Chains are permitted on Yearly, Two & Three Year Olds Only
No Hard Stand Up
Handlers May Not Stand in front of their Foal/Weanlings to show them – Stand At Their Sides
Handlers – Amateur Only
Handlers to Wear White (Khaki pants permitted) Colored ties are permitted
In Lieu of a Steward – We will employ a Disciplinary Committee (DC)
Foals/Yearlings, Two & Three Year Olds to assemble in a Collection Ring Ten Minutes prior to the Class
Judging will be Comparative for the Classes and the Championships
Trail In Hand is for Yearlings, Two and Three Year Olds
Halter Classes will be split into sections when a class has over Nine Entrants
Produce of Dam – Dam/Mare must be part of the Entry. Dam/Mare may have been shown before by either an amateur or professional. Entry must consist of at least two of the Dam/Mare’s offspring. Offspring can be either Foals/Weanlings (recipient mare may accompany them), Yearlings, Two, and or Three Year Olds. Limited to “5” Entries. A Dam/Mare and her foals are considered one entry.
Get of Sire – Entry must consist of at least two of the Sire’s offspring. Offspring can be either Foals/Weanlings (recipient mare may accompany them), Yearlings, Two and or Three Year Olds. Limited to “5” Entries.
You may not Advertise in any publication or social media site the horses or handlers that will be showing in The Arabian Foal Festival or Santa Ynez Futurity. You may advertise a barn, farm or breeding program as showing at the show.
